IDC Financial Insights Risk Roundtable 2010 |
The Financial Insights Risk Roundtable is organized as a high-level peer discussion for senior risk practitioners in Singapore.
The Roundtable Series has allowed us to create a thought-leadership community comprising of senior practitioners who can elaborate on the key business, operational and technology issues they are facing, in the process validating our opinions on the issues affecting the market. This Roundtable is also designed to disseminate evolving regional and global best practices relevant to the Singapore Risk and Security community.
With the specter of the financial crisis still looming over the banking industry, changing dynamics calls for a risk infrastructure that can assist banks to more effectively deal with uncertainty, the associated risk, and opportunity. This year's Risk Roundtable Series seeks to share insights on how the region's most dynamic banks are utilizing risk-mitigating products and techniques to empower themselves to plug leakages exposed by the recent market stresses and manage their risk exposures more proactively.
Discussions will revolve around technology and business topics identified in collaboration with the delegates through a pre-event conversation. This would encompass issues such as network security assessment and mitigation, identity theft and management, communications infrastructure security, fraud detection and prevention, business continuity risk and other such issues of interest to Financial Institutions in Asia.
The Roundtable participants will discuss and debate on some of the evolving best practices and case studies from leading global and regional banks on how to beat the crisis at hand. These case studies endorse our beliefs that although most of the issues that the banks face are common, approaches vary. |
