PREPARE YOUR IT ARCHITECTURE AND SERVICE DELIVERY CAPABILITIES FORENABLING DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
Digital Transformation is at the fore-front of C-Suite priorities in Asia. IDC predicts, by the end of 2017, 60% of the APAC top 1,000 (A1000) enterprises will have digital transformation (DX) at the centre of their corporate strategy. To enable this from a technology perspective, the underlying architecture will be hybrid cloud – on which enterprises will deploy mobile, social, big data/analytics, machine to machine, IoTand Industrial applications for their DX objectives.
IDC sees Asian businesses gearing up for a major push towards Digital and to enable the DX strategy, IDC predicts more than 65% of Enterprise IT Organizations will commit to hybrid cloud architectures by 2017, which will enable the pace of transformation in the region.
This implies, CIOs need to plan their IT strategy well in advance to take advantage of technology benefits. Specifically, three areas will be crucial for IT leaders –Service Management, Workload Management and Infrastructure Modernization in the datacenter. Combination of these elements with GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) will determine the ability of the IT organization to drive transformation for a mobile intensive, data driven, competitive business environment.
Crucial to success will be carefully planned architectures and execution of operations based on prioritization of business objectives.
